“The desire of the analyst is not a pure desire” says Lacan.

Why is this notion –the desire of the analyst- so central to Lacan’s teaching?

What does it mean? What is its purpose? When does it emerge?

We will focus on these questions in order to approach the trajectory of an analysis brought to its end.”

Bruno de Halleux is a psychoanalyst, member of the Ecole de la Cause freudienne (ECF) and of the World Association of Psychoanalysis (WAP), and AE between 2012 and 2015. He teaches at the Clinical Section in Brussels. He is Therapeutic Director of Antenne 110, an institution for autistic children in Brussels.
